JACK 'N PEEPS

By combining a love of antique toys, vintage children’s clothing, sewing tools and textiles, I’m able to create anew as well as preserve the past which gives me great satisfaction.
Each rabbit, bear or other character is an original design, handcrafted of the finest imported or vintage mohair. Wherever possible I use antique fabrics and accessories. I feel it adds to the “soul” of a piece and is a “preservation of the past.” Often a rabbit or bear is dressed in mid-1800’s to early 1900’s children’s clothing or carries a toy from such an era.
My love of vintage textiles and richly hued hand dyed wools has also led me to create antique inspired pincushions and sewing boxes, some of which also include a small rabbit or other animal.
While still suitable as a special heirloom toy, my work has moved into the realm of fine collectible or decorative accent.
