Sawdust folk art is a traditional craft that I have taken from a simple craft to an art form. My original designs begin with my pattern then cut from fabric, sew the form and fill with sawdust. Finally the piece is meticulously painted to bring it to life. No two are ever exactly the same and all work is hand done by me.

In true Pennsylvania style I designed these lovebirds for my wedding cake! They have since been painted in different colors and purchased for weddings and anniversaries.

Originally inspired by a Pennsylvania German redware sculpture, Mr. Mon Key emerged as a sophisticated musician complete with squeeze box, top hat and gold bows on his shoes.
